2026 Reading List

My goal for 2026 was to read and/or listen to at least 12 books this year, one book per month. Below is an ongoing list of books I have read so far this year, broken down into fiction and non fiction categories.

Non-Fiction Books

  • By Rachel Hollis

In this book Hollis points out the pitfalls, challenges, and excuses that women use to stop them from achieving their aspirations.

According to the author, women all to often do not live up to their full potential due to their fear of embarrassment, falling short of perfection, or not being enough.

In this book Hollis shares how she knows that many women have been taught to define themselves in light of others vs learning how to own who they are or what they want.

  • By Stassi Schroeder

Stassi Schroeder is known as a defender of Basic Bitch rights. In here book, along with in her everyday social posts and podcasts, she shares there is nothing more boring than people who take themselves too seriously or think that you have to be pretentious to be cool. In this book Schroeder champions the things most people are afraid to love publicly because they are afraid of being labeled basic. These include lattes, pugs, bubbly cocktails, millennial pink, #OOTD (outfit of the day), astrology, hot dogs, romantic comedies, ect.

In this book Schroeder shares stories from her own life, including some from her time on Vanderpump Rules, on how to have fun and celebrate yourself.

Fiction Books

  • By Mazey Eddings

    • Note I got this good as a Blind Date with a book from Ugly Stuff in Lethbridge, AB.

The leading lady, Harper, is a dental student who is waiting to hear on placement for a top oral surgery residency program when she crashes (or falls) into Dan. Harper would rather have Novocaine-free root canal than face any distractions, including one as attractive as Dan. He is a first-year dental student who has a family legacy he is being pushed to follow, though he rather be crunching numbers than pulling teeth. Harper puts rules in place for the two to be “just friends” and while they have the best of intentions to follow these rules but have the poorest of follow-throughs. As the pair get to know each other better, their connection because stronger and something that not even Harper can deny.
